When you discover sites, readings, etc., useful for tutoring, please send me an e-mail njzook@ilstu.edu notifying me of the site or document and I will be happy to post on one of our digital resources page.
Attached above you will find a template I created as a "guide" for you to use when typing your progress report. No two children are alike, therefore, there is no "one" true template in which to provide progress, so please keep this in mind when you are completing your report.
As educators you will be completing quarterly reports for your student's progress within your own classrooms. Please use this opportunity to practice reporting your student's progress.
As you write the progress report, take into strong consideration the parent who is the recipient. You all have young children in your lives with whom you are close, whether those be nephews, nieces, neighborhood children etc. Please keep in mind how progress reports benefit the needs of these students, and keep in mind that the parents will be eager to receive information from an ISU education student. This progress report will mean a lot to them.
Again, this is just a template. In fact, in semester's past there was not a template with detail such as this, so please tailor this to your student.
It should be no more than a page in length. If there is a need to go over the page limit, please do so.
As suggested earlier, I will be more than delighted to read, proofread, and/or offer suggestions in ways to enhance your letter. Should you be interested
in me doing so, simply e-mail me your letter. Should you choose to have me review your letter, please have these to me prior to midnight
on April 15th.
Thanks!
Natalie
When using the digital resources
Please remember that as with any tutoring lesson you are planning, review the contents of the source you plan to use. Some of these applications require downloads, and all applications require your expertise as to how you can best assist your student by incorporating the activity into your lesson. Also, please note that some of these digital resources are intended as professional use, helping help you as a student become more educated as a teacher.
