This space is intended for your digital documentation of each week's tutoring session.
Prior to Sunday at midnight, best practice dictates these be completed. This should not be a cumbersome writing process, but rather a clear concise reflection of what your session entailed and the results. The intention of these journal entries are as follows:
Reflecting on what worked and what didn't work, allows you to further develop as a teacher.
Allows Dr. Crumpler and Natalie fast, easy access to stay connected and provide helpful feedback.
By documenting the tutoring session, you are better able to map out reading strategies for the next session.
Note: Though, the due date on these is the immediate Sunday following the session prior to midnight, it is much easier to document the session earlier while the event and activities are still fresh in your mind. :-)
How to Access and Complete your personal portfolio digital page:
1. Select your name below to access your portfolio page.
-HOWEVER, prior to doing so, please read the following directions as they will not be individually documented on your personal page.
2. Once on your page, notice the upper right hand tab with the word EDIT, simply select EDIT.
3. You may begin typing at this time; please assign each entry using the tutoring session date as the title.
-For each new entry, please post your reflection below the previous week's entry.
3. Once you have typed the title, highlight the title just as you would highlight any text when using Microsoft Word.
4. With your mouse, click the arrow from the drop down menu and select Heading 1. (See screen-shot below)
*The entry title is the only text in need of large font. Should you accidentally have large font for your narrative, simply highlight the narrative and select Normal as your font size from the drop down menu.
5. Once your entry is completed, select the Save button from the editor toolbar.
Note: You may want to document your session using a word document first, then copying and pasting the text onto your portfolio page.
There is no need to send an e-mail notifying me of your entry. I will be reading these on a daily basis as well as commenting. I look forward to reading your entries and will leave a comment with each entry you make.
